VTN

It is with a heavy heart I type this but after a visit to the vets it was advised that VTN be put to sleep.

She was thoroughly examined and found to be badly emaciated. Tests were done on her lungs and heart which were both found to be clear. Due to VTN having one eye closed and unable to open her mouth it was in the expert opinion of the vets that some kind of head infection was the cause of her ill health. Our decision to remove her from the platform was to protect her sibling and the adult birds, without knowing the exact cause of her illness we could not risk any infections being passed onto the other peregrines.

As a committee we hope you take some comfort in knowing VTN is no longer suffering and thank you for understanding our decision which I can assure you was not taken lightly.
